The course
Most drivers do. There are no chapter timers, so the course takes as long as it takes you to work through six short chapters and the final exam.
Tap "View our DMV licence record" at the bottom of any page to see our licence as it's listed with the DMV. To check it yourself, search for licence E9632 in the DMV's traffic school lookup at dmv.ca.gov.
Yes. The course is licensed by the California DMV (Lic. #E9632), and it is the full traffic school course your court asks for.
Yes. Every California court accepts a DMV-licensed traffic school course, from Los Angeles and San Diego to Sacramento and every county in between.
Yes. Every chapter is narrated start to finish, and you can switch to reading or video at any point. Quiz questions and the final exam are answered on screen.
It's self-paced with no chapter timers, so it depends on you. Log in and out as often as you like and we keep your place.
Each of the 6 chapters ends with 3 multiple-choice questions you can retake as often as you need. The final exam is 25 questions and you need 70% to pass. The DMV allows two attempts at the final; the Pass Guarantee add-on gives you unlimited attempts.

Your ticket
Your court's courtesy notice says whether traffic school is an option for your ticket. California allows it once every 18 months, counted from the violation date of the ticket you last took traffic school for to the violation date of the new one.
When you finish traffic school, the ticket is masked from your driving record. The violation won't appear on your printed driving record, so insurance companies and employers who check it won't see it.
Wait for the courtesy notice from the court, usually 2 to 3 weeks after the ticket. It lists your fine, the court's traffic school fee and your due date. Pay the court, then start the course here.
Yes. Traffic school doesn't replace the fine. You pay the court its fine and fee; finishing traffic school masks the ticket from your driving record. Your printed driving record won't show it, so insurance companies and employers won't see it.
If the ticket happened in a non-commercial vehicle, yes. The violation may still appear on your record, so after you finish, call the DMV Driver Safety Unit at (916) 657-6525 for clearance.
LEA stands for Law Enforcement Agency: the agency that wrote your ticket. Some courts, Los Angeles especially, ask for it when you sign up. It's printed on your citation or courtesy notice, and our support team can help you find it.
